How much is sober living with IOP admissions cost?

Sober living is generally a flat fee that includes utilities.  Sometimes the fee also includes basic supplies sometimes not.

Occasionally your fee includes rides to meetings, but you will have to chip in for gas.

It is like living on your own, while still having a structure to rely on.  Creating and maintaining adherence to a self imposed structure that supports a program lifestyle takes a great deal of self discipline.

Sober living with intensive outpatient is a less expensive and less stressful than getting a private domicile and taking on the job of managing your own utilities, repairs, upkeep and so on.

The longer one stays living in a structure, the better one does.

It is common place for recovering people to stay involved with the support of sober livings and the residents living there, well into their long term sobriety.  Sober livings offer opportunities  in the recovering person’s life of service and working with others.
If you have an insurance benefit available for IOP, often times your sober living will be paid by the program for you or you will have to pay cash for the housing portion. Food is generally not included in this level of care. Housing only ranges from approximately $1500 to $3000 a month in addition to the cost of IOP which is likely to be covered by your private insurance policy. Often insurance private insurance benefits allow a separate classification for intensive outpatient services beyond the limits of how much is offered for detox and primary level residential or inpatient rehab.

In Los Angeles prices are higher $15000 to $25000 and up per month

There are some charity funded facilities – but that is in the public arena.

If you have an Obama Care, medical, medicare, or any public state or county government subsidised insurance; it will not cover drug or alcohol treatment.
Public health plans are there for you in the medical and surgery arena, but are not accepted by chemical dependency rehabs.
Wits Inn, Orange County IOP, and WI Treatment Referral are in the private arena

3. How long can one stay in structured recovery living?

Recovering people live programs for any amount of time. Many people who have recovery time desire to return to rehab houses as staff or as residents even after some time in recovery.
One of the tools the 12-step programs teach is that “you have to give it away to keep it.”This means anytime a person wants to add power to themselves or to their peace of mind they can look to ‘work with others.’
Staying plugged into the rehabs is a way to be around others who may need your support thereby giving you a support group.
We all need support sometimes.

My peer group and I have 20 plus years of sobriety.  We find ourselves up to the tasks of self discipline.
Sometimes a person would like some support.
I personally lived in rehab housing for the first 2 and 1/2 years when I got clean.
Part of the time as a resident and part of the time as a staff member. In my 18th year of sobriety I returned to rehab as a live in staff person.  A job change upset my status quo so I knew I wanted to surround myself with the intense recovery process in order to stay safe and sober.
