Drug abuse and alcoholism are destructive and deadly leaving families broken – lives torn apart and almost without hope. At this point there is almost nothing else left. But, there is a solution. Wits Inn Treatment in San Juan Capistrano uses a treatment approach that is multi-faceted, assessing the situation in our “precovery” process so you and your family know which one of our treatment options is right for you. We learn with you, how to overcome obstacles that used to be thought impossible to overcome. We focus on spirituality, wellness, nutrition and active lifestyle choices to replace old, unhealthy habits. We recover with you and follow you from the initial days of intervention, through rehabilitation and into a solid aftercare program.

Our non 12-step rehab programs are designed to provide an exceptionally personalized experience. We understand that people are different and need individualized care. We want to do more than just rid your body of dangerous chemicals. With our non 12-step rehab program, you’ll work with a dedicated team of psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, counselors, chefs, fitness trainers, massage therapists, music therapists, herbalists, and more.

The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide spiritual, social and emotional assistance for men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves.

Each center offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life.

Project Ninety’s treatment services are available to men and women over the age of 18 years. The key element of eligibility is a self awareness that s/he has a life that has become completely unmanageable due to an addiction to substance(s). A willingness to become part of a process that will address behaviors in a highly structured environment and take directions to that end is the key to success. The understanding that it is not so much what is accomplished while in treatment, but what an individual will do with the new tools and skills following treatment are where true success lays.

    The 12 After 12 Steps

“The principles we have set down are guides to progress.

We claim spiritual progress rather than spiritual perfection.”

    1. We admit God has empowered us-that our lives are becoming manageable.

    2. Come to believe that a power greater than ourselves is restoring us to sanity.

    3. Continue to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand God.

    4. Make a searching and selfless inventory of our spiritual experiences.

    5. Admit to God, to ourselves, and to other human beings the exact nature of who we are.

    6. Are entirely ready to have God enhance all these assets of character.

    7. Humbly ask God’s grace to transpire.

    8. Make a list of all the things we can do to be helpful and become willing to do them.

    9. Share what we value whenever possible, except when to do so would damage relationships.

    10. Continue to take constructive inventory and when we can be useful promptly express ourselves.

    11. Seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand God, meditating on God’s peace while we patiently remain in the moment.

    12. Having been spiritually enlightened as a result of these steps, we share this message with one another and practice these principles in all our affairs.

The premises is, once we work the traditional 12 step program, see the promises coming true and begin to have what is known as a spiritual experience, we then apply these additional steps in our lives. What we propose is a 24 step recovery solution, implementing both sets of steps together. It is this second set of steps that helps focus the principles of the original 12 steps, creating a synergistic sense of gratitude and purpose.

I hope you like these steps. If they make sense to you, know that you’re not the only one who sees their benefit. We hope to spread this far and wide because we know that this will greatly impact recovery as we know it. Please feel free to create conversation. We greatly welcome feedback and we would like to know what you think of these steps.

    Please and Thank you

awareness of this additional 12 step program. This second set   of steps focuses on empowerment, assets of character and our developing capabilities.

Tell Us About It: Loriann Witte worked with my family to organize an intervention for me. I went with Loriann to treatment in Palm Springs, CA. I stayed at the Laguna Beach facility for one night; then, Loriann and Pat came together the next morning to take me the rest of the way to Palm Springs. The staff and facility were amazing and very helpful. The professionalism of Loriann and Pat Witte as well as everyone at the facility was simply astounding and very comforting. I was able to start my sobriety on a strong foot and I have been eternally grateful for the support and skills that I received. I have been sober for 4 years as of December 17, 2012 and everyday, I thank my Higher Power for the great start and wonderful friends that I have met since I went to treatment. Loriann and Pat have inspired me to return to my education as well as work toward a degree to work with people who are having addiction issues. I really feel as though there is no way to express my gratitude in such a way that it would be really clear, but I know that every day that the feelings are understood. Thank you all for the wonderful gift of skills and tools that you have shared with me. It is truly the best gift that could have been received by someone who didn’t know they needed it. It means a lot to me and my family.
