Addiction Treatment: How to Get Started…

Preliminary information on what is entailed in determining the course of treatment when a drug addict or alcoholic is ready to enter a drug rehab program…

Addiction has many faces.  A person who has only been using or drinking for a short time, like a few months or less than a year they have different rehab needs than a person with longer term addiction. That is why we offer 30-day, 90-day and 6-month residential rehab programs, Intensive Outpatient Treatment services and sober living referrals. We want each client to succeed so we assess and refer.

Does the person need a medicine assisted detox? Are they even willing to come to treatment or do we need to do an intervention?  Is residential rehab for the best to get them out away from their temptations, triggers, and day to day surroundings?   Sometimes people need time away from their loved ones, their families or their work.  Getting away lets you get down to the work and relaxation that it takes to detox and learn a whole new way of coping.

Sometimes Intensive Outpatient Rehab is the best choice while they live in a sober living house.  This is the lower cost way to go.  If possible intensive out patient can be done while living in your own home.

We want to make recommendations that help you reach their goals.  The programs we refer to  include non 12 step therapies others follow  traditional 12-Step philosophy as well as social models.  With these diverse clinical teams we are able to refer clients to dual diagnoses, cross disorders, abuse issues, or other problems. Many issues come up in early sobriety that can be difficult to handle.

The Wits Inn Rehab referral counselors sets our goal to help each person who calls us.  We will try to point you in a direction where you can start to walk the road to a healthy, happy, sane, and sober life.

We believe that every person can find a happy and sane life.
Addiction is not a moral issue, addiction is human instincts run wild.

At our core, we are perfect, whole, and complete.
Somewhere along the line came the beliefs that the addict is not enough in their natural state and that the world is not a safe place.
    This creates stress.
Unresolved stress can manifest as addiction.
The truth is people have hurt the addict, and the addict has hurt others.

You can have a good life anyway by learning how to love, and be loved effectively.
